davidjk Posted October 15, 2011 Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 we are helping out a rescue society by fostering one of their huskies "KYA" she is very lovely and so far so good. no fights or anything kya is a little nervous but that is to be expected we picked her up today. Roxy1 Posted October 16, 2011 Report Share Posted October 16, 2011 Thanks for fostering - we need more people like you - to many pups from bad situations left in kennels while waiting for a home. Fosters can give a dog a leg up - so to speak - by teaching some basic manors in a home environment that usually leads to a dog being easier to adopt. Good luck with fostering - but be careful. It must be far less traumatic for a husky to be in a home environment than in annoymous kennels where, due to the sheer number of dogs, they won't get the tlc they deserve. davidjk Posted October 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 16, 2011 she was in the RSPCA before coming into rescue, so she didnt get the walking she needed. micha is not bothered by kya, and just lounges around, suki is keeping an eye on her. kya has a lot of nervous energy that is making suki pay attention, but big walks should wear her out.
