Sarah
Noticed tonight as Koda was snoozing he had a red patch on one side of his mouth - see pic below. It looks like ZRD however this has only come on i'd imagine over the last week. He was on Bakers from his previous owner however i've been gradually mixing in the same food my boys are on (Wainwrights) with a tin of sardines in oil every night with the kibble so i wouldn't have thought it would be that prominent? This is Koda's face: Bakers Ingredients - Wainwrights ingredients - what i've switched him to Is it just because i've switched the food that he's had this reaction do you think? Should I give him anything extra or let him settle with the new food? Thanks in advance xxx
Val (Zebedee)
certainly looks like what Myshka suffers with, she's had it on her upper eyelid a few times but the last outbreak was under her chin .... I give her zinc tablets now & it's going as she was under the vets for AGES & they still didn't really know how to deal with it
Shadowpup
I'd take him to the vet, some dogs can have allergies to cerials. Barley is something we think might of been upsetting Shiloh. He was on the exact same wainwrites food and although he put lots of weight on he never firmed up. So The vet said a rice/meat kibble would be best. I'm trying skinners duck and rice and if that didn't work to try chappie. If this doesn't work we are going to get blood tests done. We are trying to eliminate things from the diet to see what it could be. Dogs can be allergic to anything so I'd take a note of the ingrediants and try a diffirent food, if he reacts to that try something else with less cerials. It looks like a wasp sting though? Sarah
could be claire - hadn't thought of that - he was a bit stressy in his crate as wasn't used to it but he's settled now and has been fine since we came back from husky camp. Might try the sudocrem for a few days and see if that makes any improvement Thank you all xxxx
