Nicole
well we all know how NON-husky owners know everything there is about this breed! well i dont think iv been more confused than what this lady had to tell me on this breed ! she comment on my friends husky stating it looked like a malamute.. and that huskies were , dangerous when there in anger mood. i asked anger mood? and she told me that huskies are very protective of there owners and will do anything to protect them , they do not like children or old ill people ( not just old people they had to be ill ) obv i corrected her and told her that huskies are brillant with children and old people so that was nonsence and as for the protective agression i told her that was nonsence as in my eyes maya would lick the person who was attacking me rather than bite , then i got well the dog im walkin doesnt like children and goes crazy around them, first of its a malamute shes walking not a husky , so she got told there 2 different breeds! , 2nd i also told her not to judge one dog with all the rest of the breed, there is prob a reason behind this dog being like this or poor socialising on the owners behave , silly people ... p,s heres the husky that looks like a malamute! naomiJayne
It's either non husky owners saying what they KNOW to be true or people who already own huskies who jump at the chance to tell ANYONE how to take care of a husky and everything that goes along with it (no one on here) There is one lady I know and if ANYONE mentions a malamute or husky she spends a good while lecturing them on the characteristics and care they need, even if they have 10 of their own. Nicole
it gets a bit annoying people thinkin there angry wolves out to eat you tho lol i wont force my opinions on someone but when they know nothing about a breed i love and own it gets a bit hard not to ask why they think this

naomiJayne
The other thing I get is my dog is too thin and I should be feeding her more becuase siberian huskies are huge and fluffy - again mistaking a sibe for a mal

WelshSquirrel
I get told that Odin can't be a husky because he gets on so well with cats, and of course huskies chase, kill and eat smaller animals all the time like cats and can never be trained to do otherwise. silly people! It probably doesn't help that the only two huskies I know of that live in my area have really miserable owners. People probably think the dogs are like their owners
Val (Zebedee)
we were out at a meet in Liverpool today, about 12 huskies. We met a bunch of Brownies with their leaders. The girls were all very polite but were buzzing with questions which their leader asked was it OK to answer their questions? we all said yes & the 1st question was Is he blind? Diesel is bi-eyed. I explained no. 2nd question from another girl: she has 2 blue eyes, is she blind? Answer no, it's absolutely normal to have blue eyes in a husky. 3rd question from a leader: are any of them blind? (Smile sweetly & reply again, it is normal). At least they were asking & not assuming but where do these fictitious rumours start?? For the other idiots who would rather assume they know my breed of dog better than I do, I'm gonna get a t-shirt printed with "Who made you a world professional on huskies??"
