Sarah
WITH A SHIRE HORSE!! eek Took my boys for a walk this afternoon and came to an enclosed field where i let them off to have a run - i walked round a corner hidden by trees only to see a local farmer with his shire gorse pulling weights across the field....my boys ran straight over to say hello, ran in circles round the horse and i stood there thinking ohhhh SH1T :scared: I turned to walk away and called them....nope not interested...pretty much what i expected ... so i then whistled them and 5 seconds later the were sat in front of me waiting for a treat!! wahoo - recall has certainly paid off with them!!!:party:

siberian_wolf
good job you practice recall! Glad the horse didnt trample them! You can safely say that they have met the biggest horse they are likely to ever meet, almost the biggest anyway Glad they come back to, deserve a husky hug they did more than my 3 would have! mbb23
Well done on them for coming back to you. Grey is good at coming back but if there is any other Dog or person around then all of that goes out the window
debs
bloody hell i bet you were relieved when they came back, we used to have lots of horses and sometimes let isha off in the same field, the first time we did it she stopped at the 12v fence and the horses all came over (about 14 of them) the nosiest one bent down and sniffed ishas head then they wondered off, isha went to crawl under the fence after them and her tail touched the fence and gave her a shock, we had to climb over and carry her back out cos she wouldnt go near it again, needless to say she dont think much of horses anymore and avoids them at all costs
