hot or cold husky?

Is your husky a heat lover or prefer the cold?

Myshka loves the warm - in winter, she will lay with her chin on the edge of the hearth staring at the fire, whereas Diesel will take himself outside & lie down on the cold flags in the garden ... they couldn't be more different!!

What does your husky prefer?

Some pics of Myshka hogging the fire when we were waiting to have the new carpet laid ....

and Diesel ....

Zoya likes the cold and snow. Eisa? Not sure yet. We will find out as the weather gets colder.

Winter prefers it cold. Even when we have the home at a normal temperature, she'll seek out the coldest place to sprawl. Our other dog isn't a husky, but she's the opposite. So on the one hand we have a husky that stretches out either on the tile or in front of the door (our little draft-catcher..) and the other hand we have a short-coated lab/terrier mix that will nose at the blankets until we lift them up for her to crawl under. There is no happy medium! We just have to set the thermostat to somewhere in between and hope they can both cope.

Your pictures remind me of our old elkhound, Sasha, she used to practically sit on top of the fire and sometimes you could smell her coat getting singed!

Akuma loved the winter especially the first frosts, his sniffling mode went batty. We haven't had Kobi long but I did take a picture of him stretched out in the sunshine lol
