Mazz
I just received a book I ordered today. Title is "The Siberian Husky: Able Athelete, Able Friend" by Michael Jennings. I'm still reading it, but so far, it is one of the best books on the breed that I've had the opportunity to read. It goes into quite a bit on the background and early years of the Siberian Husky in Alaska and North America, as well as some of the early breeders, as well as the Standard for the breed. It's written in an easy-to-read style and provides a wealth of information on characteristics, temperment, makeup, care, health, training, living, and loving of Siberian Huskies. The book also discusses showing and racing. There are loads of photos inside, some showing when the breed was introduced outside of Russia. There are also numerous photos showing various physical traits and examples of great looking Huskies. I don't believe the book is in print any longer. New copies are still available, at highly inflated prices. I was able to find a used copy that looked brand new through amazon.com.
