The charity's recommended emergency kit bag contains: A list of emergency contact numbers Battery-operated torch and spare batteries (or a wind-up torch) Any essential medication, some toiletries and a first aid kit Three days' supply of bottled water and ready-to-eat foods that keep Copies of important documents like insurance policies and birth certificates Pencil, paper, a penknife and a whistle Have you got um ?????? Biggles Posted December 10, 2011 Report Share Posted December 10, 2011 Living in the suburbs of London whenever it snows we have total gridlock so doubt I'd be able to go anywhere even if I wanted to except on foot. Surprised the list didn't have something about a blanket/sleeping bag. Many sleeping bags nowadays compress really small. Also it is useful to have a couple of mats as these are really useful to put under car tires to aid traction on ice, but wouldn't expect to see this on a list.
