Glad to hear that they are getting along a lot better now. The first couple of days always seem to be the roughest. When we adopted Sadie, Kira was a sweety with her for the first meet. After getting her we took them to the dog park to have them off leash with one another to get some alone time (only dogs in the park). That's when his rough side started to come out, run full tilt at her and slam into her. She was only 5 months when we got her so me and my boyfriend were freaking out. Sadie didn't seem too interested in him at all and perhaps that is why he was reacting so rough to her.

It's been a good 8 months now and they only get into real fights every once in a blue moon, they are best friends now :3

They say that when you adopt another dog give the dog a couple weeks to settle in. It can be a little rough, but usually by that time they start fitting in quite nicely. You can't expect a dog to magically fit into your lifestyle as soon as you bring them home. Some dogs will, but majority of them will take some adjusting getting use to their new life. It's usually worth the wait and heartache ;)
