sutsibe
Poor birds - and I feel sorry for those who had to clean up the dead and injured birds, as well!
Removed #5
I'm afraid I don't understand this ... as one commenter noted, ducks, etc normally don't come in fast enough to do any damage to themselves. Oh, maybe an embarrassed lost feather but not hard enough to kill themselves. Watch a flock of birds land and you'll see what I mean. It's got to be a mess to clean up though ... MollynDiesel
Ok im going to say this, i did have a slight giggle at the title :whistling:Im NOT a sick person! I then read the story and im just glad not all the birds died! I dont understand how they ended up 'slamming into the pavement.' birds that land in water dont come down with enough speed to die incase there was a predator, so they can take off quickly again. Or so i thought... Ive cleaned up 1 dead bird before so i just feel sorry for all the people that have to clean up THAT many

aronoiiel
When I first read it I was confused to but I've seen some ducks land on the lake near us and it looks like it could be quite painful if that was solid ice and not water.
