Looks like an irritation of the skin. Any hair loss oh that area?

Sent from my HTC Desire using forumrunner.

are the other 2 licking him there maybe?

I was just about to ask if someone was licking him maybe....my white boy licks his front legs in the winter and it stains his legs pink. Vet says it's an enzyme in the saliva...so far it hasn't been harmful and it goes away when he stops licking.

Hi Sarah

This looks just like what our dog is suffering from. I have posted a link that gave us some ideas .... worth a try ...

Is it his skin that is that color or is it actually the fur? From what I can see, it looks as if he's suffering a bit of thinning of the hair in that area.........and that is making his skin 'shine through'...........

But in either respect, I don't know. Was just wondering if I was seeing the photo properly.

this is just a normal pic of him ,,, it looks like a saw patch with thinning of fur, ie: licking too much !!!! we have found that zinc doesn't enter the body too well because of a stable diet of dried food, the adding of oily fish like mackerel helps the digestive system to take in the zinc ( zinc from Holland and barett £10 for 500 tabs) we are doing 1 tab every 3 days and 2 fish a week, 1 fish over 2 days (raw) then later on in the week another one ( de boned by the fish monger ) i hope this helps .....
