Aspen
Hi guys, I was just wondering if running Aspen for very short bursts on her walks is okay.....I take her for 2 walks per day (one @ noon (about 15- 20 min) and one in the evening (about 30 min)) and during her evening walk i do run her, once or twice, for about 45 sec to 1.5 min. I was aware that extensive running can harm her bones, joints, and ligaments, but after some research on this forum I feel I may be doing more harm than good. She is just shy of 13 weeks old. HuskyMom09
Running your puppy without weight or a load (pulling) isn't a bad thing, let your puppy set the pace and watch your puppy carefully...end the run far before she tires out. In the warm weather this will be extremely important, she will tire faster and it can be more dangerous.
Michelle Melsom
I remember being told that I should not be jogging or running with Marius when he was a young age becasue it could effect this bones? I dont remember where I heard that. But short bursts should be fine I think I mean they are going to run anyways right

After all we aren't going to stop them from running and playing like puppies will do any way right
Storm Angel n Auroras Mum
you shouldnt run such a young puppy, as it can damage their bone growth.
