Elyse
A man whose pit bull killed another dog in St. John's has pleaded not guilty to failing to keep the animal tethered. Jason English was charged after his dog attacked and killed a poodle on Hayward Avenue last October. English said he was asleep when the attack happened, and that he had left the pit bull in his gated backyard on Maxse Street. In 2006, a pit bull owned by English attacked another dog near Quidi Vidi Lake. English's trial is scheduled to begin in April. Yahoo! Darc-Brittany
;_; Poor poodle! It's people like this man that give pit bull's a bad rep! If you animal shows any aggression, keep it inside or at least safely confine it!!
Paranormal Wolf
Another irresponsible owner helping to keep the evil pit bull stereotype alive. The poor poodle would still be alive if the dog was owned responsibly. Koopa is never allowed outside unattended. R.I.P. Poor little poodle. naomiJayne
If that pitbull had got out and bit a child instead of the poodle it would be dead now. No wonder they have bad rep with irresponsible owners.
lovemysiberian
Agreed with the above, what an irresponsible owner. I see plenty of unwanted pits everyday (about 2/3 of the shelter are pits) and stories like this make them even harder to adopt out! It's so hard to explain to people about how wonderful they can be!
