Mary Christie
Hey True Blonde, I've just congratulated you on your weight loss in an earlier post, but here I come again Well Done!! If you're feeling down because you've gained some of the weight you lost, please don't feel bad if you've slipped a bit. Xmas is a really tough time for lots of people in lots of ways, and I know you won't believe me, but we ALL overindulge then. But guess what - you're in the driving seat of your personal car! Make a date to get back on track - and just commit to it. You've already proved you can do it, so set yourself 2012 targets now. Please forgive me if I've incorrectly presumed the core of your sadness, and I hope you're in a better place by now. If not, please talk to me. Take good care of yourself, Mary

Take good care of yourself, Mary Hey thanks, but it's not about that. I don't know. I'm so sad at the moment. I can't believe I've come so far, and yet I'm so unhappy. I don't know how long I can cope like this. Stacey xxx
stormchaser09
You maybe just need a new focus. You have done so amazingly well at losing weight it has probably taken up a lot of your attention and now you are where you want to be you have maybe lost your sense of purpose for a wee while. I am sure you will begin to feel better soon- maybe once spring arrives and some better weather. I really hope you get how much poeple care about you and you feel better soon

Take time out - do something just for the fun of it, but Do it right now!!!!! Then plan a small, but FUN thing to do each day for the next 7 days. Post each day if it helps. Staceybob
Just saw your post...things getting any better? Prayers your way. Nope not really. I have no motivation to get up the morning, I don't want to eat, I don't want to drink. Just don't see a point to anything really. Biggles
:grouphug:You have HO behind you 110% and we will always be here for you. I know how hard it is to get motivated but have you taken Aleu out today? Even if it is just for a short walk just look at her happy smillie face and see how much she loves and adores you. A change of scenary can help and getting out in the fresh air and daylight will be good for you. Sorry if I am nagging but I am a Mum. Have you been to your GP to discuss how you are feeling, maybe a referral to a counselling service might help you to get your thoughts in order. A few years ago I did this as I was overcoming a very long term illness and couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel so in some ways I know how you are feeling. Maybe give Sid a call as that helped last time.

I already had a referral to a mental health service but without transport, it's difficult for me to get to the location they've referred me to, so I haven't gone. I'm supposed to be receiving psychodynamic therapy but haven't started it since I moved to Birmingham, because I just don't see a point to anything any more. Biggles
I had cognative behaviour therapy (CBT) and to begin with felt like you, what is the point and even when I went to the first few sessions still couldn't see the point and gave the woman treating me a really hard time. However over the weeks it did begin to help. Not easy but in the end I think it was one of the best things that I did. If you don't have transport have you told them this as the hospital transport service should be able to pick you up and return you home. If you don't feel like doing it yourself go back to the GP explain this and get them to sort it out for you. You may also find that you need to gets your meds changed or prescribed to help you. I'm not on any medication as they said with it not being neurological they probably wouldn't be beneficial to my health, though I've been avoiding my new GP as he want's to put me on anti-psychotics but I'm being told in my head that the GP is trying to harm me and so I shouldn't take them, so I refuse to go see him again. Biggles
Is there another GP in the practice you could see if not could I suggest that you change your GP if you're not happy with him. Some GP practices also do homeopathic or can refer you to homeopathic specialists and you may find that this helps instead. You are entitled to a referral if they don't do it.
