Hi there and thanks, we do have a little problem actually, not sure if you have any advice; Bella has started to be sick (only upon waking) morning and afternoon when she has a nap, sometimes brings her food up and sometimes yellow throth....... has been going on for a few days now. Other than that she is playful, her usual self, thinking of changing her food gradually, shes on pets at home puppy food with chicken/dry, which she has been on for about 8 weeks now, shes 6 months now. She's drinking lots of water as usual and will eat anything !!!! not that we give her many tit bits, maybe we are not feeding her enough? we feed her morning and night. Thanks :)

Hi and WavingWelcome.gif! She's a cutie!

The frothy yellow vomit usually occurs when their tums are really empty. The undigested food - sometimes happens. It may be that she isn't digesting the food she's on very well. I don't know what the ingredients are in that particular food (I'm in the US, and we don't have it here), but many Siberians don't digest grains well - especially not corn, wheat, soy and brewer's rice, all of which are common in many pet foods. You might try switching to another food and see how she does on it. Look at the first 5 ingredients on the label - there should be a higher number of meat ingredients than non-meat ingredients, and you want them to be specific about what that meat is - chicken, beef, lamb, and so on. The meal form (ie: chicken meal) is the best and most concentrated form, the meat itself (chicken) second best (the meal has more chicken in it by weight, as the water in the chicken meat has been removed), by products are really NOT good!

If she brings up the frothy yellow bile often, you might want to give her another small meal or a snack or two here and there throughout the day...

A big huge welcome to the best husky forum there is... you'll soon be as addicted as all of us are :) With the chance to meet like minded people and ask any question you need as there is always someone who can answer :)

Bella is gorgeous by the way and sleeps in the typical husky position

Thanks everybody for such a warm welcome !!! thanks Tux / P. Girl for your great advice. I thought it was because she was hungry, however, have been feeding her the same food for over 2 months now. Will check food content and possibly change, think we need to add some chicken/liver or something every now and again as the dry food just does not seem enough. Thanks again everyone, Bella's not been sick today, I gave her some cooked pasta (small amount) last night, and same again this morning. :)

Hi, Patricia & Bella, welcome to the forum  what a little stunner!!

At six months, it may be worth feeding Bella 3 - 4 smaller meals a day, so she's still getting the same amount a day, just more often in smaller portions, that might help her get through the day with something in her tummy most of the time. As she gets to 9 months, reduce to 2 - 3 till she is on 2 meals a day, if that is how you're going to feed her. Just another option to think about while you're checking out what food you want to put her on :D
