kper
Yesterday I noticed a 3 yr old husky on craigslist needing a new home that had some aggression issues. I'm not sure why, but I contacted them to see if they might want help placing her. They replied saying they have had no luck and even though they love the dog it has nipped people, is not good with young children (they have a little one on the way), not cat or small dog friendly and had a few of what the vet thinks is blood sugar related seizures. It is also somewhat unpredictable around people it doesn't know, especially men. The dog had a previous owner. Anyone in the midwest, or nation-wide, know any contacts they can turn to for adoption/rescue advice or help?
sutsibe
Adopt-a-Husky is the main one in the area - Twin Cities or the Chicago area. Google it - we can't put the link on! I'm not sure if they take owner surrenders or not, though. If they got the dog from a breeder, they should contact that person to see if they'd take the dog back, first - I know if it was a dog I had bred, I would want to know and if at all possible, have it come back to me! HuskyMom09
I used to volunteer for Adopt-A-Husky Northwest, we took owner surrenders, I believe the parent group does as well. www.adoptahusky.com

I assume you know Tracie Franke then? I knew her when she was in the Chicago area!
