Povodny
Now I'm hungry .. and we're having chicken tonight! Speaking of hunger, Safi is reminding me it's time for mid-afternoon tea. She gets second breakfasts as well as lunch and dinner, she already has the hairy feet she'll turn into a hobbit soon:huskyfall:

sutsibe
I like mine pretty rare. I don't mind it mooing - but I don't want it to kick! I'm lucky in that most of the beef I'd be likely to buy around here would be produced locally, and is of really good quality!
Elyse
I LOVE rare steak....it sorta has to be a rich red, but it can't be too blue or its too chewy for me.

cas
It has to be well done for me. Don't have it that often though as it can end up too chewy, depends on where I am eating really.

persephona
Mmmmm, I am dreaming of a steak right now... drooling. I like mine rare. I think that when you have a good piece of meat, cooking it more than just rare spoils it. I used to avoid pink, bloody steaks when I was younger. I remember when I was in France, at some point when I complained that the steak was not well done, I was told by the waitress (who was shocked, by the way) that any more well done that that would be "charbonise!" I know that many people are engrossed by the idea of having a pink steak, but the temperature is enough to destroy dangerous bacteria on the outside of the meat and it is quite safe. brian brown
Medium rare for me - sirloin preferably - bit of blood/juices & nice & tender. I'm not too picky
