R.I.P my beloved bestfriend, Milo. September 14th, 2011 - January 31st 2012.

I can't believe I wasn't able to make full use of this wonderful forum and show-off my bundle of joy to the entire world. Milo came into our world as a gift for my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary. It hurts to see that we have lost 'our little baby' as she always called him.

I would like to post this thread in memory of his wonderful life that he had, and to raise the awareness of this cancer taking these precious animals out of our lives. I was never aware of this cancer and never had I thought I would have to go through such an unfortunate thing.

Milo, our purebred Siberian husky, has suffered from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, a blood-type cancer which was disabling his body rapidly. You might ask how and why? There is not one clear answer unfortunately. Milo's life was cut short yesterday, at only four months old I can tell you that he has become a part of me an

d my life. Milo always put a smile on my face no matter what. He showed everyone nothing but love. His beautiful coat and marvelous eyes attracted people every where we went. From the pet store to the dog park, Milo was the main attraction. I will never forget the conversations me and Milo would have, because yes, believe it or not Milo was able to talk. Sure Milo was only able to live 4 months, but I assure you that me and my girlfriend have made the best of them. I can write about Milo all day but words aren't just enough for me to express Milo's life.

You will always remain in our hearts forever Milo. I can be rest assured that you are in a better place now. There is no one in the world that can replace you Milo. You were perfect, maybe just too perfect that god just had to keep you for himself. Even though your not with us anymore Milo, I know you will always manage to keep us smiling when we look up at the sky and see you.

We love you Milo, and we miss you more than the world can ever imagine.

Dear Anika and Kishan,

We are very sorry to hear of the loss and we have tears in our eyes for you and Milo. We do know how you feel, it is if a piece of your heart has been taken, but taken in beautiful memories of Milo. Our prayers and thoughts are with Milo and of you both. The foot prints that dogs leave on our hearts stay with us forever and to make heaven the perfect resting place for the loved dogs we adore, God made sure those pearly gates contained a doggie door. Im so sorry for your loss. its so unfair he was taken from you so young. You obviously loved him so very much, he will always be in your hearts.

A poem for Milo.

The time comes. A Siberian Husky lifts up its head.

There is an untested adventure beyond. Time to go.

Across the Rainbow Bridge is a place for all dogs. A

river runs wide and shallow with tennis balls that

fly with their own wings; that is the place for a

Labrador or Golden to await its master’s arrival.

The Siberian is not content here. Northward is its trail….

There are soft pastures for Aussies and Border

Collies, with sheep and geese to pen. Agility

equipment grows like trees amid Frisbees and

flyball.

But the North continues its sure wild call, and the

Siberian’s journey continues….

Now the air is colder. Now the moon is always full.

Now the light is silver and it breaks and shimmers

on fields of bright snow. Now there are no roads, no

walls, no pens, just endless space to run. This is

where Siberians gather, North of the Rainbow Bridge.

They wait in this beautiful place, happy, but not

complete. Suddenly, a howl begins, as one dog senses

someone coming, someone very special. All the

Siberians raise their heads and join in the ancient

chorus. They dance like moonbeams and sing like

winter winds.

There are red ones like dawn streaks, black ones

splattered with many colors and silver ones like the

first strange hour before light. They line up as if

in harness and run together, in a scintillating,

many-colored streak. The leader of the team guides

the others past the fields and river, with racing feet

and racing heart.

They rush to greet the new arrival at

the Rainbow Bridge, where the leader is rejoined

with its beloved person, never to be parted again.

The glory of the reunion is celebrated by all the

Siberians dwelling beyond the Bridge, a glimmering,

multicolored team leaping and whirling with joy.

The light from that scene is what we see on magical

evenings in the northernmost parts of this Earth:

The Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights beyond the

Rainbow bridge.

so sorry to hear of your loss :( such a gorgeous boy taken far to young :(

R.I.P Milo - run free over their rainbow bridge , free from pain in your silver harness

:rainbowbridge:

Little did we know that morning

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

but you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you,

you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.
