Watergrove Reservoir 12 Feb 2012

Well, it was quite an experience, my first jaunt around the res! Where I live, we've had practically no snow (a bit of hailstones & ice last week for a day) so to go to res & see all the snow on the way there & actually around the area was great!!

We had one or two little slips within the group which, when you see how much ice there was under foot, is quite a miracle! But it was a good day out, great to meet new people, put names to faces & have a laugh!

It wasn't cold, we did get rained on half way through the walk, it was very misty so could not see the beautiful scenery around us or the amazing wildlife (horses, sheep & cows nose to nose with us!) too well, but it is definitely on the "to do again" list for spring / summer time!

Hope you like the pics:

:lolman:That's what I was looking for in all the pics, that owner being dragged down the icy muddy hill:dog3:

nice shots, it's always refreshing to see that many huskies and their owners in one spot.

great pics...is that Diesel in the water? BRRR.....gee, and didn't look like any cliques at all!!!:whistling:

Great pics Val :) Has Big D ever been able to walk past water without going in for a dip ? He is a fearless :D

 yes, it is Diesel in the water - would you believe when we first rescued him, on the way home from picking him up, we stopped on the North Wales coast for a walk on the beach, stretch our legs & loo stop for D & Myshka - he cried & squealed when he saw the water, he wouldn't go near it, he backed right away! Now, you can't keep the little water baby away!!

As for walking belts, I've started using one, I never realised how much better they are than having your arm jerked out of it's socket!! But they are ... the only "downside" is trying to pull the dogs back to you, but I'm still learning! :P

no, Louise, I mean pulling them in close to you, say, if another dog passes nearby, etc, still trying to suss that one out, I'm used to flexi leads I can rein them in on!

ohhhhhhhhhhh pmsl

mine have the canicross lines from Kisi, they have two handles for control down the leads
