From the picture of the dead moose I almost wondered if it was a young cow that was pregnant, but apparently she wasn't. IMO, Moose are never right in the head. Luckily the most dangerous wild animals we have to contend with in the UK are Adder and Badgers, neither really warrant a .44 magnum in the hiking gear lol.
