lebe03
All I can suggest is to use the comparison web sites as a provider who is cheap for one person is likely to be very expensive for another due to the criteria they use for assessing risk. Also is several area's of the NW the insurance has jumped up by over 40% due to an increase in 'Cash for Crash claims'.

stormchaser09
if you find a good price on comparison sites try contacting the prefered company direct as it is sometimes cheaper.( did this last year with my house insurance and saved around £5 a month)

I pay 1400 p/y for my bike so I'd love to pay 800 but my bike is a 2010 reg so it's very pricey. Gocompare is the cheapest of all the comparison sites

stormchaser09
i did try that and it was £60 more expencive, how does that work????? I really can't answer that one-sorry. I don't think anyone could ever explain how insurance companies work. I know through an import car site I belong that the postcode seems to be the biggest reason for massive hikes in price. I pay under £300 a year for my old bus but others are paying over £1000 for similar cars depending on where they live.
