KayBear
We will be getting our husky at 8 weeks old and the drive home will be around 3 hours. Knowing that he will not be completely vaccinated, how do we go about giving him a potty break or two on the way home? Also how often should we stop to give him a potty break? Mazz
When we brought Zoya home, a little over 3 years ago, we had over an 8 hour drive home. We stopped every hour or two. We stopped at parks and rest stops, walking Zoya on the outskirts to avoid areas frequented by other dogs. Just keep your pup away from other dogs. I think you will be fine. sutsibe
You're likely to need to make at least one stop with her over that length of trip, just choose where you will walk her carefully... As Mazz suggested, try to avoid areas where a number of dogs have been - but also try to avoid areas where animals like raccoons might frequent, as they can also carry various diseases that can be transmitted to dogs, including Parvo virus.
