major training tips?

although this is my first husky, when i lived with my parents i was the proud owner of a beautiful yellow lab. (he stayed with them as he's my mother's "favorite child") i know basic training like to sit, stay, laydown, heel, etc. Is there any major training i need to focus on with Luka? I've never done any pulling activities unless you count being drug everywhere by my lab, cody. ;) (Talk about a dog who needs a no-pull harness.) Any advice would be appreciated.

There's the usual puppy stuff;

like bite inhibition (really important), crate training if you feel like it would be important (a lot of huskies suffer from separation anxiety), socializing your pup to everything and anything (noises, sights, smells, people, dogs, animals, etc), and etc.

I don't know if you know this, but Sibes aren't to be trusted off-lead. They're also stubborn and have high prey drives...

oh he is definitely being crate trained. and i knew the part about not being off the lead. luckily, for me im used to only having them on a lead. the lab wasn't ever trusted off the lead either. he'd be gone in about 1 second. i used to have to load up in my car and go pick him up in a nearby neighborhood if he escaped.

thanks nix ill have to look into ordering that book! :)
