Nick Tillman
Hello! I know how you feel, I'm stuck playing the waiting game too. I still have to wait until the 11th of may until my little guy comes home. Now, being a first time owner, anybody else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I've understood. The way I'm doing it, is I'm buying a large crate, but it has a divider in it to adjust the size according to how big the pup is when he grows. When it comes to crate training, I've understood that the area should only be big enough for the dog to stand, turn around, and lie in comfortably. Now, I think this is to deter them from soiling their own crate because they don't want to sleep in their own waste (Who does?) Again, I'm open to suggestions as well, but this is the best advise I can give you right now! Good luck, and be sure to post lots of pictures! Val (Zebedee)
yep, Nick - I'd go with that! You are then only paying out for 1 crate for the lifetime of your pet (hopefully!! ) Section part of it off, it will feel more cosy for him, he will feel safe in a smaller size to start then as he grows, take the partition away. Nick Tillman
Oh I know what you mean about time going slow! lol. It stinks! But, anyhow as for your question, I ordered mine online, but thats because all of the pet stores around me are very small and limited. LittleLuka
42 and make sure it comes with a divider! i originally purchased a 36 but after seeing it assembled realized it was too small.
Shaiasaur
I'd say get the divider because then you woulnd't have to spend a ton of money buying different crates for each stage of life. It seems easier. I can't wait to be in your position! I want my husky, but the only problem is when and how? XD
