im going to order a furminator and was wondering wich was the best one to get? large or medium?

We have 2 large furminators for our 4.They work really well ,we use them almost daily, especially for removing the undercoat when shedding heavily.None of our dogs mind them and we have never had any problems with them hurting their skin etc.Couldn't be without them!

Ice loves its

Shadow is good for a few passes then he has had enough.

As long as you don't apply extra pressure, then it works great. You run into pulling hair, irritating skin etc... when you apply the pressure.

Got mine (large) for $25.00 on Amazon/

We have a large furminator and it does work well. Yes it will cut guard hairs and is quite menacing looking but it does the job. We haven't tried the mikki rake, so can't make a comparison but will have to look out for one on eBay, it sounds quite good. May work better on bear as her fur is sooooo much thicker and coarser than ice's.
