Great shots, how does this actually work - do they compete in a weight class, as in dogs of equal weight pitched against each other ? How it works is there are weight brackets, your dog gets weighed in the day of the event and placed in whatever bracket they weigh into and will compete in with other dogs in that weight category. There is a starting weight for each category and weight increments decided upon at the handlers meeting prior to the pull event. Each dog can either pull each round or pass up to twice in a row. You can't touch or bait your dog before he crosses the finish line, 16 feet from the starting line. He has 1 min to pull the cart to the finish line.
