I know this is not Husky related - but ...

This weekend just gone, my 9year old daughter (Jasmine) entered the 17th Houvast Tournament held in Mierlo Holland representing GREAT BRITAIN. She has entered this for the past 4 years and has always been unlucky. However, this year she annihilated her opponents and had already won the GOLD medal after 3 of her fights (5 in total)! I have never been so proud of my kids.

Unfortunately other members of our club were not so fortunate - why do foreign ref's have to be so biased against the British? We should have easily bought home another 4 medals, but the refs were just refusing to give scores to our fighters throws :(.

Below are videos of her fights:

Her Sensei wrote the following to her inside a card "You came true in the end after 4 years of trying! You did what you were shown and Ipponed everyone of your fights! No room for referee error - ONE GOLD for the MEIJI of GREAT BRITAIN"

what a brilliant thing for her!!!!

You must be bursting with pride!!!!

I still get overwhelmed just thinking about it at the moment. I've never seen her fight like that in all the years she's been training!

Just to add - I've never celebrated soo hard either - we drank the hotel bar out of Vodka!!!
