BingBlaze n Skyla
it really depends on the dog , some wont come in till they are around 16 months old , others earlier , i wouldnt worry , id just say hes been VERY lucky lol seasons arent fun sutsibe will know more
Hyshqa
Kiska was 1 year and 1 month when she came into season, and I'm convinced she was brought in early because there was an intact male around.

sutsibe
In my experience it's unusual for them to be that late coming in season for the first time, but then my girls have always come in quite early - generally between 5.5 and 6.5 months of age... I've heard of them waiting that long, though, so as long as she seems to be healthy and nothing is bothering her (lethargy, fever, obvious infection) I wouldn't worry too much. Different lines do different things, and many of the lines in the UK are very different from what's behind my dogs...
HuskyMom09
There are such things as 'dry heats' and those are easy to miss unless there is an intact male around to alert you to them...but as it was mentioned unless there is any reason to worry about health she may have just been a late bloomer.
