Water problems

Hi everyone. Our 2 mallys love water, so much so that when we put drinking water down for them they dig in the bowl with both paws just as if they were digging a hole in the garden. We have tried varying sizes of bowl and we have also raised the bowl off the ground. We don't have a problem with them getting wet but they eventually tip the bowl over leaving themselves with no water to drink and if we are not around for a couple of hours we worry about them not being able to drink.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No spill water bowl? Raise the bowl higher? It's a real pain when they decide it's fun to soak the floor. Good luck in finding a solution.

My girl does it too she now knows the command no paws when she's in the house but when we are outside she's allowed to dig , we just stopped her everytime she went to put her Paws in n gave her the command

Thanks Biggles we may have to get a no spill bowl I think.

Bing, They do stop on command but when we are not there to give the command then the problems start. They have access to water all the time of course and it's always outside as they have access to the garden all the time. We don't always see them doing it until they come bounding indoors wet through lol. Thanks for your reply.
