Yes, actually it is on the larger side. I thought that would be more comfortable for him. How do I partition it off to make it smaller?

I'm not sure what to use to make it smaller, I'm sure someone will have an idea though. But a smaller crate is actually a good thing. some larger crates even come with dividers so they can grow with the puppy. the reason behind the smaller space is to make it feel more like a den. Puppies wont want to potty in their den where they sleep but if the kennel is too large they will choose a spot (usually either in the front or back) and go potty :S I had issues with that when I had my little Boston Terrier. I though oh I'll get him a nice big crate, he had the same crate I now use for my pit bull haha, and sure enough he would potty all in the front and sleep in the back.
