sutsibe
Once again, we're planning to have a t-shirt for our Iowa Husky Camp, and would like to have Husky Owners Members help us come up with a design. We had SO MANY wonderful design suggestions last year, that I wanted to open it up for more ideas this year, given that we have so many more talented, new members on the forum! A few suggestions, and first off, one rule: 1. Make sure that ideas you submit are sufficiently your own, so that we don't run into problems with copyright infringement! 2. The more colors we use, the more expensive the shirts will be (and we'll be using a different printer this year, so I don't know what costs will be, in advance), so we want to try to keep the number of colors down. It IS possible that a color can be made transparent, so that the shirt color shows through - the shirts last year were red, so all red in the design was made transparent, and the red of the shirt showed through where the design was red. 3. The shirt color has not yet been decided for this year, but I, personally, am leaning toward a royal blue! Here's the design that won last year, submitted by Andy:
Andy
Will put my thinking cap on. (did you ever get the rest of your order from the printers ??)
sutsibe
Will put my thinking cap on. (did you ever get the rest of your order from the printers ??) I don't think Becky did - the problem was a fire in the building where they were being kept for her to pick up, and he would have charged her again to reprint them (he did charge for the destroyed shirts)... Removed #2
Personally, I would like to know the brand of shirt as the sizes last year were absolutely not true to size and very fitted at the hip, bigger at the chest, and high (tight) on the neck. Not a comfortable shirt, unfortunately never to be able to be worn again without some cutting.

Nanci, The printer last year told me one brand and then used another which was where the problems came in as far as sizing went. I ordered two shirts. One I can wear, the second fits like you are stating. All in all, last year's printer SUCKED! And he will not be used again.

sutsibe
I'd like to try too. When do you want the designs by? Let's say by June 30th - that will give us just under a month, and should allow enough time for me to get prices and people to tell me they want to order. sutsibe
Great designs, Andy and SA DA KA! I really like both of them... If you could make the eyes in your design were more almond shaped, Andy, it would soften it considerably...

AttilaVikingsDemon
@Sutsibe or Austinville you mentioned about the shirts and printers and things, are you going with the same printers as last year, or did you have another in mind? I'm not sure how much this would cost at Cafepress either, but could check if you wanted me to... Love the designs so far everyone!

I personally don't have a problem if you check with Cafepress - otherwise, I'll order from a local printer. Have you ordered shirts from them before, and know the quality? Have you ordered shirts from them before, and know the quality? Yes, Gigi-the quality of the shirts themselves are great, the quality of the design depends upon whether you upload your design on their website as a PNG or JPEG. The best quality turns out when you order a design uploaded with a PNG http://www.cafepress.com/czardemondragunov This is an example, scroll down a ways and you will see various price range in adult shirts Edited June 8, 2012 by AttilaVikingsDemon
HuskyCouture
When we get tshirts done, I always use American Apparel tshirts. They're SOOO comfortable! Most online shirt stores carry them. My favorite online shirt store is: Custom T-Shirts - Design Your Own T-Shirts Online - Free Shipping!
