Wolf? Husky? Coyote? Tamaskin? Who knows? Not the Wolf rescue people.

Not coyote unless she's mixed, too big and ( for my type of coyote ) the wrong color. (( Most "coyotes" living in urban areas are mixed with dog. ))

She is a beautiful animal and I hope they can trap / tranquilize her without hurting her - and while I understand curiosity, the neighborhood should go 'way and let the game dept do its job.

I was wondering if this would be posted. Some of the pix on the verious news sites make it look like a husky or husky-mix.... but they are still saying it's a wolf.

I dunno... It looks ratherr tame whatever it is.. so it was probably a pet. Wolf or dog... which maybe if it is a wolf that's why no one has come forward... cause you aren't allowed to have them as pets.

For all the crowd that's around, this is one really laid back animal!!!

Exactly... which is why I think it's someone's pet. I just hope it's caught without being hurt. The media and press are making this out to be much more then it really is. I mean, it's not like a lion is free roaming about.... It's more then likely a pet that misses his family. The fact that it's just chilling makes me think it's probably at least part husky. lol

I've been favorably impressed with some of the news reports who have gotten people to say that they're not concerned about the dog, that it's not a threat, that they enjoy seeing it out there. (s)he's one damn good looking animal!!!

Like you, I hope they can capture it without anyone - human or canine - getting hurt.

It does look like a wolf cross to me it definitely does not look like a coyote I see those all the time they are quite small and skinny and have very pointy faces. Its got the body build like a like a wolf would have. Tamaskan's have slender bodies like huskies so I don't think its one of those. Its head is what gives it away as a cross...maybe GSD cross or mal ? Sooo pretty tho and Im glad they are not freaking out and killing it

And this guy has been where for the past week?? The article states that he "lived" in FL.. past tense.. which given the current state of reporters... I'll take that with a large grain of salt. They don't seem to fact check much anymore...

I've been watching and haven't seen anything since My Lyons came forward and "Penny" came up to him and was then scared away by another idiot! Lyons decided to surrender the dog - hopefully to the Wolf group who had been there.

Sent a message off to Peter Mucha of the Philly Inquirer who had covered quite a bit of the story so hopefully he'll send a follow up.

They captured it on Tuesday morning. The article said it was being taken to the wolf sanctuary in Lancaster County.

Thanks for the follow-up. I think like a lot of people, I was afraid they were eventually going to give up and put it down there. After a DNA check up to see how it ranks as a "Wolf" she should have a good home there.
