I've been ROBBED!

I had to let this out somewhere, while I wait for the Sheriff Dept to come by. This has never in my life happened to me, and it really does not settle well. Someone got into my car on Thursday night and took my cd case, my make-up and my change purse. Its not much that was stolen, but I just put that CD case of CDs together after my exciting discovery of having a CD player in the car. The change purse had at least 3 dollars in it and my make-up case had at least 100 dollars worth make-up and accessories. I don't wear a lot of make-up only about 1 week a month when my face breaks out due to hormones, and well, I need make-up today! I needed make-up last night when I noticed it all missing. We live in the "boondocks", but most housing out here is $$$$, but I live in a little cottage on a shared property of 2 other units, so we are not the rich ones here, everyone else around here is, so why get into my 21 year old car for such piddly things! ARRRHHHHGGGGGG!:@

Its a strange angry and nervous feeling in my stomach that I can't describe!

I know how you feel. My flat was burgled one night, the thieves took all our electrical goods and took our kitchen knives. They never came upstairs as they thought we were there, thankfully me, my hubby and two year old son were away at the time. I couldn't go into that flat to live afterwards, it didn't feel right anymore. I didn't sleep, never felt safe again so we packed up and moved in to the mother in laws for 18 months until we got our house. Been here over ten years now but I still remember what it felt like so clearly. Horrible feeling.

Garbage people from the inner city get out too, they did it all the time in other areas like you are talking about, I'm so sorry to hear this...I hope they get busted!

Thanks everyone for all the support and extra outrage over the incident. I doubt they will catch them, but with a report there is a possibility that there may be a pattern of other thefts in the area and maybe that will lead to an arrest. They are however sending extra patrol down my road due to the incident.

I've listened for years about my husband getting his jacket tapes and a drum stolen from his car back in the 80s in Washington DC, and I always joked (cuz I lived there for 3 years once), that he "parked on the NE side of town, what are you crazy", and now I know that it can happen to anyone right in front of your own home, and it's a certain type of personal violation that sticks with you. My heart goes out to those who have been robbed before whether it was life threatening or just simple theft, it just is such a "smack in the face" bad feeling.

Beyond getting to read all these responses that make me feel better, I also treated myself to a haircut today, and bought new make-up, of course I'm out 145 dollars now, and I asked if they took HOD $ but they didn't! LOL

Thanks HO Gang! :grouphug::thankyou:

Sorry to be reading this Kara . I know how you feel though. Our home was burglarized shortly after Christmas about 17 years ago. They took all of the kids Christmas goodies and more.

My poor little Rat Terrier, Emily, was home when it happened.

They were never caught. But one good thing did happen and that was we got Bo....my first husky. I always felt safer with the big guy around (He wasn't a guard dog, but he did make people think twice).

Anywho............sorry to be reading this. Hugs.

UGH! So sorry that happened! I woke up to my car alarm one night and ran outside to confront a thief as he was stealing my daughters little dvd player from her carseat. He smashed the window and glass was everywhere. I was so angry I seriously would have shot him. I am glad I didn't have a gun with me or I'd have been in big trouble. He ran off with me screaming at him. The piece of garbage thief even had a nylon over his face. So creepy. I couldn't sleep for weeks after that. Its the worst feeling.

Want their fingers cutting off if you ask me. Had an issue with a thief myself last week who attacked me (or tried) whilst leaving the cash machine. Have absolutly no time for people who want to take from others rather than get off their backsides and earn it for themselves.

Omg! That's awful I do think its never about the value of the goods it's about the violation into your personal space and the thought that someone could just do that!

We had our house and car keys stolen by our next door neighbour a few years ago guess for the purpose of getting in when we went to work and I just felt so violated!

Hope that some justice is found for you x

I had my first car stolen and smashed to pieces.

It wasn't worth much,an old Ford Escort,a few hundred quid, but the damage they did was unbelievable, they had smashed every window and put a breeze block inside and smashed the interior.

It had some special compilation tapes I had put together over the years and they were all over the car, tapes pulled out and in pieces,I had to walk away.

I hate stealing and detest any type of destruction.

It is an awful feeling to be subjected to any type of theft:@
