strackfam
As I sit here givin the morning pup snuggles, and check out the latest HO funnies, I notice Timbers paws are really dry-more than usual. One even looks crackly. What the proper care for this. I've read fish oil, but is there anything immediate I could do?
Mazz
Anything immediate would be in the application of a cream or ointment. Not sure that would be a good idea or not. Seems it might attract dirt and debris, also might inhibit the body's cooling system from working properly. (Dogs use panting and the pads on their feet to help cool body temperature when needed.) Removed #2
Mushrs Secret is what we used in the past in the winter for protection. You could just use a regular skin lotion like you would use on your skin, though my guess is that it will get licked off fairly quickly....mine seem to love my lotion....either the cucumber kind or the udder cream. Nothing like getting rid of your dry skin and then having your husky lick your legs!!!
