So we got there and gave Echo a ball throw to calm her down before the meet.

Malaki arrived and we let them all off lead to get to know each other.

Echo and Daughtry perfectly behaved had a sniff and run around.

Darwin. . . Oh, Darwin.

He went up had a sniff and launch teeth bared and having a go a poor Malaki.

Malaki was wearing a muzzle, Darwin wasn't.

Got darwin back on lead and Let Malaki run around with the other two.

Every time Malaki came close to say Hi, and have a sniff Darwin went off.

Took some photos when Darwin wasn't trying to eat Malaki.

So what we are going to do is. . . .

Take just Darwin back up to Milton Keynes tomorrow morning to meet Malaki one on one.

Hopefully Darwin won't feel so much need to protect the rest of his pack.

Both dogs will be fully muzzled up and they cam go at each other unable to do any damage

eventually they should both figure each other out and start being curious and playful

instead of "I wan't to rip you to shreds".

If that happens then we'll probably have to keep them muzzled for a few days when Malaki comes back with us.

Until they settle down.

that's the hope anyway.

Once again. . .

Watch this space.

ha ha my pyscho hose beast echo was perfectly behaved....and usually good boy darwin goes off

he isnt keen on males anyway but it might be (as christie said) protecting his pack and male dominance...

id love for them to get on and we shall see....

obv too much aggression between them is a definate no as i have a baby on the way

daughtry was very happy to wander around and be her lovely placid self

hugs for my girlies and frowns at darwin

what a lovely looking dog hope all goes well why not walk them together first before of lead play thats what we have done seems to work

there wasnt anywhere suitable for a good long walk.... seperately they had all had good walks and were sufficently exercised..... just darwin wanted to be a poopyhead!!!

hopefully muzzled they can growl out their issues and then play

Aww,well lets hope you can sort this out somehow because Malaki is a beauty.10/10 for trying so hard to make it work, especially with a baby on the way. G:):)D luck, keep us posted.!

More pics tomorrow and a report on how the two boys sort it out.

I hope round two goes well Andy - Malaki is truly gorgeous :)

thanks rosemary we are going to be taking the two of them for a walk together first so they

get used to being close together (without trying to eat each other)

before we go into the tennis courts and let them off lead to get to know each other.

they will be muzzled so they can work out their differences without (too much) harm. :)

yeah bought a cage muzzle for darwin today.... we have a mesh muzzle for echo for when she goes to the groomers

i hope the knuckle heads get on tomorrow.... malaki needs a good home and we think we can provide that

darwin needs boy time....

if it doesnt work out with malaki then we will try with a female

we have the room and the time....

eventually we can add to the pack if its malaki then great if not then im sure another dog will fit in and be homed with us x

Edited by Kells xx
wanted to add a bit more

what a lovely boy can't wait to meet him, good luck tomoz xxxx

Thanks Linda.

Just like we've had to work hard with Echo and Darwin.

We can do the same for Darwin and Malaki.

But THEY have to give us something to work with.

We have to see some spark that they can calm down and be around each other.

we hope so saz.....

christie was enthuasiastic that they could work it out and it was just normal 'boy' stuff!!!

glad she knows her stuff cos me and my dad would have just taken today as a no and tried with another dog.... she is the rescue person who has seen this before so we are listening to her

hopefully all goes well and we will have more pix tomorrow and hopefully a good ending
