glenn
My old one finally bit the dirt. I guess after 4 years of constantly gathering husky fur, bone fragments, etc it was time lol. Looking for a decent bagless vacuum, specifically to pick up pet hair. Any recommendations?
husky49
We got a Dyson 7 years ago when we got our first Sibe. It's not the 'ball' model it's the old 4 wheel style. It's heavy to push on carpeting and was expensive to buy but it does a great job cleaning up dog hair and the associated dirt that comes in with our dogs. I guess you could say it really sucks (in a good way)!
Andy
Henry A bit expensive. But. . . . Will last forever.
HuskyMom09
I got a Dyson 6 years ago from Target, and with 11 Nordics it has been keeping the husky hair tumbleweeds at bay. We have limited carpet but it's a beast on the area rugs, I must say I'm very pleased!
wolf39518
I like Kirby's line of vacuum. With a power drive system the upright is almost effortless to use around the house and when I first got it. The carpet literally changed from from tree bark brown to a sandy color because of the dirt the animals dragged in.

Removed #2
Had an oreck...got a shark lift off pro, can't believe how much we weren't picking up with the oreck...only downside is it isn't very wide, but it does a really good job...lots of hair and dust pick up, and we hardly saw the dust pick up with the oreck! Elyse
I got a Dyson around 5 years ago. I heard the dyson 'animal' is good, but I've never tried it.
Tanya-Meika&Keeva
We have a Dyson Allergy and its the best vacuum we've ever owned. Love it!!
mike_p
I replaced my ancient Dyson recently. I did a lot of research on suction power I chose a Panasonic Eco-max UL596 - ie the pet version. It is fabulous, though the kids complain it's a bit heavy. At around £120 it's MUCH better value than a Dyson.
joshmp5
We have the bissel with the doggy brush attachment and it's awesome! i really like it and it's a very good vacuum.

s200rey
Anything with the 'paw' logo on it, is good for pets, and everything else we've got the Bissell one, designed for pets, with the attachment that gets every hair up effortlessly. Think it was around £100 mark.

Jay
I had the yellow Dyson which worked OK, but then I got the new Dyson animal...OMG it is amazing! Although it is gross to see how much fur I am walking through. I am SO glad my carpet hides the hair...what I can't see won't bother me LOL
