But the media like anywhere in the world needs to generate interest so they post pictures of dogs with "vicious looks" or iconic breeds known for bad press. Only saw lots of bull terriers though, and that got me mad enough, thank god I missed the husky as that's every breed in my house! And they're not dangerous, whatever happened to deed not breed?!!! I'm sure there was a post on a thread a while ago that put Huskies way down the list and the likes of Jack Russells much higher up, only people don't reports bites from little dogs as they see them as cute. I seem to remember Nicola @Povodny posted it, apologies if I'm mistaken. Found it: A recent study carried out on 6,000 dogs and their owners found out 33 of the most aggressive dogs, and also those which have good temperaments. The study involved collecting data from two different groups. The first group consisted of 11 different breeds and the second was an online survey mainly involving owners, including 33 breeds. The conclusions from both groups were similar. It looked at the different types of aggression such as towards other dogs, towards strangers and towards owners. davidjk Posted August 21, 2012 Report Share Posted August 21, 2012 these lists are compiled with flawed data so they cannot show reality. to get a real list you need thousands of the same breed of dog all raised, fed the same way to get a real figure. the main reason for a dangerous dog is a bad owner, but that is not the only reason. genetics can be a big cause so can illness. if you feed your dog, love it, train it and socialise it you should have a good dog.
