simhauu Posted August 24, 2012 Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) I finally stopped procrastinating and here's a couple pictures from a weekend spent with my mom in Slovakia. First, travelling by train for 4 hours - Ghost was very calm and slept through most of the way. Time for snack in Bratislava while my mom packs. More travelling. Our first excursion the next day, to a UNESCO heritage village VlkolÃnec and a couple pictures from there. It was a tiresome day... The next day we went to this sheephold or what it's called where many people go because they make their own cheese products from their sheep, their own bakery, restaurant... Unfortunately I only have pictures of animals because I was holding off Ghost all the time or he'd be hunting them all, and no one bothered to take pictures of the surroundings. (Official photos http://www.salaskrajinka.sk/sk/fotogaleria/salas.html) Need I not say, Ghost tried to taste some of them. Luckily I prevailed. Next we went to one mountain. But the only ones that got to the top was my bf and Ghost, and poor bf had to drag him because halfway Ghost noticed I'm not climbing and wanted to return, lol. The look on Ghost's face in the fourth pic. Sadly, after that we went home, as we had a train to catch but our drive in car was interesting... Where's Sunny? (My mom's cocker) And check out where Ghost's legs are lol. And lastly, a pic from train. It would have been much comfortable if Ghost didn't fart the whole 4 hours... We had a great time, sadly only for 2 and a half day. It wasn't too hot nor too cold, and the apartment complex we stayed at had a fenced garden for the dogs to run in. So we just let them out in the mornings and they came back themselves. Sorry for the many pictures. Would love to see photos of Prague too Ghost is gorgeous, and such a good boy Thank you, I actually have some photos from Prague when my mom came over and we took the boys to this nature reserve in northern part of Prague but I was too lazy to post them I'll post them tonight or tomorrow. And my mom's coming again for a weekend today with her friends to split the fuel costs, so I think she'll make some photos. If not me and Ghost will have to make some ourselves, lol. I think they're just traditional log houses common for the area. There's 19 permanent villagers but some houses are available for tourists to come and stay at. Love seeing others adventures.
