Austinville Posted August 30, 2012 Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 In the mid-central states, we spent a really long and hot summer with very few days of reprive....now again, we're back in the upper 90's and I'm looking for ways to keep Rynnie cool. Osinn11 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 Cj is an indoor husky! We keep the central air set at 70 degrees! Most walks happen early in the morning and around dusk at nights. Then its a big chunk of ice they can lay by the next day. Other than that I grin and bear it when they dig their holes under shade bushes so they can lay in cool dirt. simhauu Posted August 30, 2012 Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 I've bigger ponds close to where I live, so no matter the hour, Ghost's happy to go in and swim (and very unhappy if I don't throw him sticks or balls). Once I had trouble getting him out of there, he just wouldn't get out, lol. He doesn't care if it's noon, the hottest time of day, if I get sunburnt or not (which I do), he wants to SWIM. Crudd Posted August 30, 2012 Report Share Posted August 30, 2012 My Diesel boy gets pretty pathetic when the house itself gets over 74. We cool him off with ice.
