Nfored
My pup never wants to come inside like a good boy when its time, kyser comes the first or second time I call. I was thinking about each time I call them and only kyser comes, to immedatly give him a treat, then maybe khan will get the picture. But i don't know seems kinda mean at the same time. HuskyMom09
A couple of things, it's obvious Kyser is not a Siberian and probably has a far different recall than your Siberian does. Siberians are notorious for poor recall and having their own independent will. Next I'd have to say rather than treating the other dog and hoping that your pup will pick up on the subtle hint of what you are doing, reward your pup when the expectation is met even if it's not the first time reward the behavior when it's met and the next time you'll see the expectation met sooner. Rosemary
Micah, our little girl will always come inside when we call her - maybe a bit reluctantly at times, but she will listen. Ozzy on the other hand, is not food or treat orientated at all - he just ignores us He is a very stubborn boy.
Bec
How is your pups recall usually? I'd be working on his recall so he does come the first time you call him inside and learns when he does he gets a super great treat.
Mistyrayn
still reward your dog for coming in even if it has taken a bit longer.. sometimes my Cheya is a bit slow at coming in at night and i may have to encourage her a bit more but she still gets the same treats as those that come racing in..they dont get there treat till we get upstairs to bed but she gets it at the same time as the others. positive reward will in encourage and in time will get better. if you dont give a treat then you are making it harder for yourself.
