Andy
Beautiful pics. Until you've been close up to a real wolf you don't realise just how huge they are !! There is no way on earth you could mistake a Husky for a wolf

Emma
Gorgeous looking creatures. However it even furthers my confusion as to how people could say huskies look like them? Maybe i'm a bit dense in the head but I personally don't see the comparison at all! Look more like giant foxes to me! lol
firegoat
I think it's more of a grey wolf thing when people say that huskies look like wolves. While not exact, it's fairly similar. http://www.google.com/search?q=grey+wolf&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=2vpDUOO5DMTC6wH2ooH4DQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=672&sei=3_pDUJ2tLofY6wG01oH4DA

Wolves have winter and summer coats just like huskies. As it's now summer they look very slim but they'll have a full winter coat in the winter. BlueWolf
Warning, lots of photos ahead. I'm sulking because of the amount of great photos I won't be posting here as otherwise it will be just too many. You have no idea Lol, anyway... As Rob said, we visited Jos de Bruin from Wolves Unlimited in Germany on Sunday. He runs a wolf and wolfdog sanctuary basically from his own house. If you sit in his garden you can see one of his wolves walking around on the other side of the fence, lol. But before that, we went to the Granat wildlife park where two of his wolves are located. Nearly everyday he visits them to talk about them to the visitors, to feed them and to howl with them. They didn't want to howl this time though, but it is beautiful to see him enjoying talking about his wolves while he plays with them. Lunch! Ehm... I guess. "Lets be friends." Look at the size of his paws compared to his hand by the way  How do you carry a wolf around? This is how Giving the camera a wink. The park featured quite a few other animals. As this lynx for example (that did not approve us making photos of her as she jumped against the fence when she got close to us ) Her kittens where hiding in the long grass When walking further down the path you get to a huge area where deer can walk around freely. Especially on the open areas you could see them (and they knew you had food with you). Jos were searching for a different kind of deer though. He knew where they usually hide and how to find them. And after a "short" walk *cough* we finally found them in the woods, barely visible. Good thing I had my zoom lens with me The were watching every move and sound we made. Just one sudden movement and they can all run away.
BlueWolf
We got back to his home to get a proper tour around his house. These are currently his two wolfdogs that walk around in his house. I'm terrible at remembering names, but maybe robke still remembers them. They are both Saarloos but this one looks like he may have some malamute in his too. Di found her two new friends And then there are his two dingoes. They are very curious but skittish enough to run away when you try to pet them. Though the fact I had some food in my cameraback might also explain their curiosity, lol. This photo happened by accident. They kept wanting to get close up to the camera. To be honest, doesn't this remind everyone else of Fox Tink & Eponine's Fox? And last but not least, his wolfdog Knut that is the same area with a real wolf. Me and Di sat in that area while Jos was playing with them. Knut is 2 years old and you can definitely see that in his behaviour. More of this will in the video I'll upload whenever I get my hands on it This is definitely going to be my new wallpaper Edited September 4, 2012 by BlueWolf
