Stranger
What the hell is going on with the husky world?!?!?! In the last couple of weeks its going mad....mad I say. I have a few husky friends on my facebook account, and I am on a couple of groups, and for the last couple of weeks all ive been seeing is people being slagged off, status saying if people have a problem with them say it to their faces, and others saying that things are being said about their dogs….WFT I never realised how many “PERFECT†people with their “PERFECT†dogs there are out there….judging people who they clearly know nothing about…shhh guys better not tell them my two are from a back yard breeder I may be slated for helping a cause I knew nothing about when I got my boys… And so what if they have a cross does it really matter…err NO!! And so what if their dog isn’t KC registered or doesn’t meet the high standard….blah blah blah de dumb blah For crying out loud, I thought this childish behaviour ended in school, but clearly as some people get older their mental age decreases. By all accounts, the people I know on my facebook account and here are amazing people who have amazing dogs, we are and have achieved so much with them all and rescued many, and saved more. I don’t understand why people think they are above the rest and resort to this pathetic and lame attitude. They’re the type of people who give us lot a bad name!!! GOD I HATE PEOPLE, SO GOD BLLLEEEPPP JUDGEMENTAL AHHHHHHHHH Going to get some junk food that might help me feel better!!!!

BingBlaze n Skyla
I know what u mean I've been on the receiving end a good few times ,, you'd think that if the dog is well cared for , loved, happy and healthy then what's the problem!? People have no idea what goes on if these dogs they are slagging off are rescues or anything , they get on my nerves n make me sick how they aren't happy unless they are slating people and their dogs because theirs are just so bloody perfect!! Emma
A lot of these people are from the snooty purebred reigns supreme bandwagon. Basically a lot of pretentious, arrogant snobs. They wouldn't last 5 minutes here and I for one am glad. Can do without all the pointless bullying and snobbery thank you very much!
Leyka&Diva
how people can say things like that is just rude, and out of order! i agree ive had people saying stuff about diva so what if shes not as fluffy tailed as the other huskies i bet she would give a few of them a run for their money in a race because shes fast lol and as for leyka being poorly bred so what if shes fluffier than some thats why i chose her because i want a wooly i know she wont be a proper wooly but i love the pair of them as does my family and thats all that matters xx

Austinville
We had a fish fry over the weekend. Some one attending made sure to tell me that Ryn is fat. Yes, I know she's heavy. Yes, I know it isn't good for her and we're continually working on that. This person has a daughter who has a husky who lives in a crate in her fenced in back yard. Never gets out because she has chickens and is thin as a rail. So, I very politely reminded him that while Ryn is heavy, at least she doesn't spend her life in a crate that is too small for her. She gets out and about and is exercised which is more than 'some' huskies. He immediately walked away without another word. Truth hurts, huh? Yup the amount ov times skyla has been called fat despite the after blowing pics , the other two even got called fat once , I've had people talking sass about skyla's issues with other dogs at a meet once despite me warning all people in advance about her attack and how she likes her space when we first meet n can be abit snappy till we start walking but still had people saying she's aggressive behind my back , makes u sick that despite the fact skyla has been attacked they still judge her specially when she had fluid build up on her chest which also makes her look bigger then she is aswell Sent from my ST18i using Forum Runner

Ryn is heavy now because of the two months of 90 degree plus weather we had. it was simply too hot to walk or exercise her. (That and my OH thinks she needs to eat 24/7 - the man won't listen!) Chewbacca_&_me
No worries, you arent crazy, its really the entire dog world in general....its very nutty!! People in general are so judgemental and over-expectant, and sometimes outright rude that its rough all over. In my 5 months as a professional trainer and business owner I have encountered alittle bit of insanity every where I look and go. Its highly frustrating. I live in an area where all I hear is complaints about the fact that our local shelters are "kill shelters" but then I constantly see ads and articles about hundreds of dogs being dumped at shelters each day. the whole world seems to be lop-sided and judgement is everywhere. Ive been having to take my own advice and try very hard not to be overcome by all the people that have ugly things to say. One (young and immature) lady that I did tons of work for went online and told the whole of craigslist that I was a dog hoarder, and that my home was filthy....didnt get any business the last 3 weeks and I was in the most acute kind of shock over it considering that the only mess she saw was the dusty ceiling fan that I couldnt reach! Osinn11
People can really get to you if you let them and unfortunately the world is full of a*holes! I will same thing here as I would say to anyone in person. Yes this is my Girl Cj...yes she is a husky...she is 2 and was rescued...she is one of the best things that has happened in my life! I really don't care about the opinion of others friends or strangers. I know my Husky make my wife and I happy and we will do anything and everything we can to give her the best life possible as a family member and a companion! I joined a few husky forums before I decided to make HO my home. I don't understand people either! If you're in it for the points at dog shows, go for it - but some of us just want companion dogs who may be (( MAY be[/] )) less perfect than yours!! lebe03
Don't pay any attention to the ignorant bar steward keyboard warriors. If people aren't willing to say things to my face then it's not worth paying any attention to them and lowering myself to their level
Erinc
Honestly, you really shouldn't let these things get to you. Nor should you give anyone the satisfaction of getting wound up by what they write!! When I first got my pup I came across these forums because I was asking google questions. I enjoy helping others the same way I was helped. Its fun engaging in discussion, sometimes they get heated, but hearing different views is fascinating! I attend meets for my dog, so he can socialise with other Huskies, meeting great owners is a bonus. EDIT: LOL - my point was that if someone is acting or speaking to you in a way you do not like, you dont have to put up with it. Just ignore their existence, there are several thousand people on here that would be happy to replace them Edited September 4, 2012 by Erinc
Val (Zebedee)
some people just like to think they know better or have more experience than the next bloke - they say knowledge is power & that is what they believe they possess. Is your husky loved, fed, watered, exercised, kept in a clean environment & generally well-cared for? Yes?? Then stuff the lot of them!! That is all that matters. Pity the loud mouthed bigots for having a gob (mouth) but no brain to engage to make coherent sound come out!!
Chewbacca_&_me
Here here!!! I have just now (even tho still sensitive bout it) come to the point where I have chosen to just keep doing what I do, because hard as it is the best thing I can do is ignore the crazies. I had changed my website info phone # and everything and then I just decided heck no!!! And put it all back the way it was and started putting myself back out there. I learned that if I let these ignorant people do it, they would destroy everything for me and never think twice on it. Your dogs are beautiful and the wenches are just freakin jealous! Lol that's just my take Edited September 4, 2012 by Chewbacca_&_me
