Osinn11
Any recomendations for cleaning my hardwood floor. Cj spends alot of her day lounging on the hardwood floor. Do any of you use pet friendly cleaning products? Am I over thinking what I should and shouldn't use for cleaning the floors. (We've had to be very careful with chemical do to our exotics that also live here)
Elyse
I use a swifter wetjet (and their cleaning solution), and it doesn't seem to bother Suka. And it didn't seem to bother my Budgie, Pepi, when he was alive... Another option is vinegar, if you wouldn't mind the smell for a day or two. Kara
My Landlord likes OdorBan, my mom always tells me to use vinegar:)
HuskyMom09
For quick spot cleaning I use Simple Green which is an all natural cleaner and biodegradable. Full cleaning I get a product called Method wood floor cleaner, no wax (which is great for my bamboo floors!), non-toxic, and biodegradable. HuskyMom09
The dilution is on the bottle, that of course I can't find! But I have used any where from straight no dilution to best guess a 3:1 mix (maybe lighter) and I've yet to have any issue with any of my 11 dogs (including the young puppies) or 4 indoor cats. It's really been one of the best cleaners I've used without worry.

BlueWolf
Back when I worked in a cat shelter we used Citronella for nearly everything. Not only does it smell nice, it is also completely save for animals as it's made from natural oil Only thing I'm not sure is if it's available in other countries. Perhaps there are differently named cleaners with citronella in them.

(although it does work wonders on waterspots)
