Just thought I'd introduce myself, Im Alan, I have 2, 3 year old, Siberian husky bitches, Called; Anue (whom has lived with me and my wife for a year now) and Ava (so far four days, she is also Anue's sister from the same litter).

Anue is White, has part brown part blue eyes, quite slender and extreemly feminine.

Ava is Red and white with yellow eyes, more fuller built than her sister and not as agile, but just as feminine.

So far they've had their grumbles and one little scrap but they're doing ok.

I came across this through Google whilst looking for information on scooters/trikes as i want to have some fun whilst giving them a good run around.

Information about anywhere me and my wife can bring our girls to meet up other husky/dog owners to keep them well socialised.

Pawtrekkers, Dax and Cudos are some of the best models of scooters. It's better to get one with a brushbrow to prevent the lines going under your front wheel while turning or running as it could cause harm to you or your dog.

I produce my own lines out of polyethylene rope as it's rot resistant and use solid brass snaps as they cope with cold temperatures. Ask me about producing lines if you want some home made good quality ones.

Avoid nylon and polypropylene lines on ebay or ones made simply out of cord and bungee, they are not as good for the job although cheaper.

Manmat is on of the most commonly used brands for X Back harnesses but SASS also do H back harnesses.

To get into it, it's best to go and try it out with others already doing it. Where abouts are you? You can run with us.

Hello and welcome to you and your lovely huskies. You've stumbled upon the best place to come to for everything husky. There's a section on working huskies so there may be tips and advice in those threads and feel free to post new ones and ask questions. I see some of the members who run their huskies are already pitching in with advice and what have you :D I'm sure you'll be able to meet up with some in your area and get some hands on work with them. Again welcome to the pack, hope you feel right at home here on the forum!

I live in near Hinckley, bang on half way between leicester and my home town Coventry. Pains me to accept im a resident of leicestershire.

I'd love to bring the girls to run with other dogs they're very well socialised as they've lived with 10 other huskies, 15 Papillions and god knows how many chiuawas, until my uncle rehomed them with me as his health is preventing him from breeding them properly and being able to give them the attention they need. ive been looking everywhere for quality stuff. I'm in a very fortunate position that im self-employed and business is good, so reasonably priced good quality equiptment for my girls would always be bought.

is that your dog in the pic? He/She is beautiful.

Yes, that's my girl Aleu. I run her on my pawtrekker scooter.

Well im up for running in and around the midlands, I train on the local canal or Sutton park. Let me know if you want to have a go and we can hook them up with Aleu.
