Benjiro
Hi Guys, how ye doin? I'd just like to get your insights about my female husky. She'll be turning one year this 29th and I think she's a bit short for her age. I measured her height (ground to her withers), it'll be 18- 19 inches. Any suggestions as to supplements or vitamins she should take to boost her height?
Its_A_Husky_Thing
Ive been told that they start to fill out between 1 - 1.5yrs. But you also have to remember that its a female and they dont get as big as males. I really dont know of any supplements to make them grow lol. BingBlaze n Skyla
That's about the right height for a female husky , she probably won't get much bigger now Sent from my ST18i using Forum Runner
Ron Tao&Sky
20" to 22" is about the norm for a female Husky:).........Ron
HuskyMom09
She may have another growth spurt left in her, most Siberians don't finish developing before 2-4 years. Without knowing anything about her lineage it's hard to say.
StarSydkik
Our Kallie was the same. Now she is 15 mths old and has grown 1 1/2 inches in 3 months. Still a petite little girl, though, weighs only about 38 lbs. BTW, that makes her barely 20 inches at the withers. Elyse
Generally females are smaller than males, but you have to remember the standard for huskies sometimes isn't followed even if they ARE purebred huskies. You could have huskies bigger or smaller than the standard.
