Val (Zebedee)
How do you give your dogs their tablets? I have tried everything with Myshka but she spits the thing out! If I wrap it in ham or chicken, she nibbled the meat away and spits the tablet on the floor! I''ve tried syringe-type tablet feeders, everything but it takes many attempts before I am successful! Emma
Have you tried grinding it down into a powder and mixing it with something she loves?
Rosemary
We hold Ozzy, open his mouth, and drop it at the back of his throat - he swallows we have also tried everything with him - but he is s.t.u.b.b.o.r.n.
Sarah
Sometime ham works other times it's peanut butter - try missing a meal with her and then giving her some ham with it in - she might gobble it up as she'll be hungry? simhauu
I put it in the back of Ghost's mouth and wait till he swallows otherwise he spits it out as well. He used to do that with joints nutrition pills but after a time just gobbled them with food.
HuskyMom09
Tablets are difficult, which is why we use liquid/paste wormers
Shadow-Kodah-Drako
We use Plerion from pets at home, they are just like soft treats
Austinville
Any pills that I give Ryn are just popped in the back of her mouth while her head is tipped up. If she tries to spit them out, I stroke her neck a bit which makes her swallow and Whala! pill is down the hatch.
Hyshqa
I use advocate with my two which not only covers fleas but also all worms except tapeworm. For tapeworm I give them the Drontal ones that are just like treats so they take them off me and actually want to eat them
Mollys Dad
Normally, I would say make a cut into some meat / a treat etc and insert the tablet, especially as if you throw any food towards Timber he will swallow it whole. But he has become a sneaky git when it comes to pills, so: Have you tried grinding it down into a powder and mixing it with something she loves? ^this^
