Emma
Whatever happened to the fork?! Lol When telephones had numerical dials. Took ages to call anyone!
Mollys Dad
Well we have a welsh channel :) or I'm a bit younger :Dhehehe Actually I think we did have access to a Welsh channel (HTV?) and possibly also STV, but I wasn't counting them (no offence to our neighbours!) I meant BBC1, BBC2, ITV

When the telephone sat on the 'telephone table' - a small table in the hall, or even a combined table / chair thingy so that you could sit down while having a good 'natter'

Mollys Dad
Mine still does! Ours sits forlornly on the floor, down the side of the sofa. Probably only about 3-4 people have that number thanks to 'portable telecommunication devices'
Emma
Ours sits forlornly on the floor, down the side of the sofa. Probably only about 3-4 people have that number thanks to 'portable telecommunication devices' That seems to be the norm these days. People who actually want to talk to me know better than to call my mobile, I leave it in the kitchen and hardly ever hear it ring. Slight defiance to convert to the mobile phone world! Povodny
Yes apart from: what are / were galaxy counters? They were like cadburys buttons but the galaxy version. Smaller came in a white packet with assorted animals on the front.
