Not being a parent myself i can only imagine the thoughts going through your mind. robke Posted October 25, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 25, 2012 She writes a lot and I mean a lot...she is very intelligent (at 16 speaks Dutch, English, Finnish & German) and has a good grasp on things just her "dark" side takes over to much at this moment and that will take time to get sorted.... Thanks Al, we are not beating ourselves up in no uncertain way (been there before with self mutilation she did a while back) we are also seeking much better help for her and we, the rest of the family is getting help as well when needed all of that is in motion...and not lasting the normal weeks..but tomorrow... I myself suffer from depression and have had many suicidal thoughts, its a very dark place to be to say the least. I really hope things work out for the best and now she can get the help she needs and find some happiness. Here's hoping for the best possible outcomes. I started having problems from the age of 14 and it was like a bit of a switch for my parents, I must have scared them so much because it really came out of the blue I hope the meds and support helps her. robke Posted November 7, 2012 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2012 Just an update on my daughter....been to the doc's today for a check-up mainly blood-pressure and to check her throat....All ok on that front still needs to take her meds but that is not a problem..Therapy starts next week and she is starting school again next wednesday as well.... so on that front all is going well...
