dogs practically got attacked!! >:(

BingBlaze n Skyla

Recommended Posts

walking all 3 on my own as i do every evening around the same time every night and i get about 5 mins down the road (if that) when i see this staffy running towards us , its owner is too busy leashing up the puppy n hasnt even noticed his other dog has just ran across a blood road! decided it would make a be-line for my 3 , blaze is on my right hand side so it couldnt really get near blaze as skyla is on my left hand side right in the dogs path so it goes for skyla n she has a go back i managed to get my leg over skyla to shove the dog away from her with my foot and it decides to go for bings instead , goes for his back end , well skyla wasnt having any of it n dove towards this dog to get it away from bings the owner just casually walks over to us n then his dog buggers off after him

he said sorry n asked if the dogs were ok n admitted it was his fault but im still in shock i was shaking and i couldnt walk for abit legs had turned to jelly , a van stopped n a girl parked up near us n got out her car n asked if we were ok which was nice , im just glad the dogs are ok n didnt get hurt n im proud of skyla for protecting the boys , im also glad shes very fluffy or she could have been seriously hurt :(

is it any wonder my dogs have issues with other dogs / offlead dogs when theres idiots like that about!!!! grrrr

I am sorry but if any dog runs at my three like that I have no problem with putting my size 11 foot up the dogs rear end. Is way too many irresponsible owners about.

example had our guys out last night, bloke with an off lead jack russell cross thing comes walking towards me and our guys. Usual story dog off lead, owner walking along lead in hand. Now he had three options

walk the other way down a parallel railway line out of the way

put his dog on lead

or the stupid option dont put the dog on the lead and walk straight at us

Bearing in mind my eldest sibe is in heat two guesses what happened next lol

That's easier said then done I'm a 5ft 3inch girl walking 2 huskies and a staffy cross on my own , they are all really strong n I was struggling to hold them back and stay upright , I did manage to kind ov kick the dog away but that's when it went for bings , who at 14 with a heart murmur and a bad leg doesn't need to be bitten , I was just trying to keep mine from getting hurt which isn't easy when the leads are getting tangled up in your hands

Glad to hear none got hurt. What a horrid situation :( Owners like that really boil my blood as you know. I'm just glad the situation didn't turn out any worse.

Me too yeah I know what u mean the only kind ov good thing is dad was off work today n we weren't that far from home so if anything had happened I would have been able to ring him to come get us , tho I'm not sure how we'd all fit in my micra but then we managed 4 adults n all 3 dogs in a corsa when skyla got attacked last time

Once again it's proven

staffies should not be let off lead sick of seeing them off lead round here

I've got nothing against staffies , bings in my signature is a staffy cross n is stupidly friendly (he tried to hide behind me yesterday) but I do think all dogs shouldn't be let off lead specially when u can get long leads/flexis

my personnal opinion, unless you can PROVE excelent recall than your dog should not be off lead in any area unless specified, if you can not prove you can control your dog, then they should not be allowed off full stop!!!

sorry to hear about the staff, its a shame its another staff, goes to show how many un responsible staff owners there are out there as this breed is always in the spot light!

I even had some twit the other day running his German Shepard off lead as he rode past on a bike, when his German Shepard got too close too my sibes, having three out with me ie mini pack they didnt take too kind too a looped german sheppard running at them. usual response "there vicious them, you shouldn't have them out on a walk, my response put your dog on a lead and don't let you flipping dog lunge on them and there not u Pratt lol

my dogs have been all been socialised at classes, are never off lead unless in my garden, I don't run them unless on land where I have a permit/insurance or unless its dead early ie 6am when not a lot of people are about, it should be mandatory your dog stays on lead and if its off lead police should be able to shoot the owner on site lol
