Een is in the hospital

Looks like he ate a stick fallen off one of our pine trees Saturday.

Blocked, no fluid passing, no bowel movement, bubble in his tummy getting bigger.

$380 for X Rays, $800 to keep him under observation last night, another $400 for sonar this morning, and if surgery follows, another $4,000.

Prayers needed.

You have my prayers and thoughts. Sasha seems to be improving, at least she's gt an appetite back - not impressed with rice, but I'll add some hicken to it later today.

It seems as if they either keep us laughing or crying, and I'm not much on emotional roller coasters.

Take care and my best wishes for a quick and successful healing!

Oh no, sorry to hear this :( I hope Een is better soon and will not need surgery.

Micah is always trying to sneak a branch or twig away to nibble on. Certainly can't afford a bill like that, so will definitely be keeping an stricter eye on her from now on.

Update on Een.

Thanks for all the posts, just got him home, they managed to clear his blockage without surgery just kept adding fluids through a drip and he is doing fine.

Prognoses from the Vet through sonar is that genetically his adrenal glands are too small. Means he has problems digesting his food and constipation. For his bone structure he should apparently be close to 80lbs, rather than the current 55lbs. So he is on a new diet to compensate for this. They say he is the friendliest Husky they have ever seen.

Thanks for all the wishes.

That's FANTASTIC!!!!!

Since my idiot Sasha has been feeling better I've been concerned with Een and praying that things would go well for him as well. Thanks for the follow up. However, I'm glad I have my vet and not yours ... my pocket book would have to stretch a lot to handle your expenses ( or maybe just bounce from here to Mars! )

Great that Sasha is doing better.

We have both dogs on a yearly plan and normally everything is covered including their shots. They are not able to do Sonar, or surgery though so he was referred to a specialist hospital and those costs were a big surprise to me as well. We could have lost Een though with this, so at the time choices were limited.
