question of the day: -

Woke up the wrong side of the bed this morning, extrem bad mood...why do we wake up in bad moods, we've been asleep, surely we should wake up in no mood, and as the day progresses this is when our mood is affected?

Don't know the answer but I can honestly say I wake up in a miserable mood every Sunday and have for years. Probably because it's a work day the next day. Perhaps the stress factor can be applied to waking up in a bad mood, or perhaps you're dreams were negative and put you in a bad mind set?

Gallons instead of litres

Miles instead of Km

Inches instead of cm

Feet instead of metres

Fahrenheit instead of Celsius

Acres instead of Hectres

Pounds (lbs) instead of Kg

...

that's actually incorrect. we use inches and centimeters.

it's millimeters, centimeters, inches, feet, yards, miles.

i don't know why we mixed both systems up but we did haha.

That's...weird!

I think its because the mm and cm are much smaller units of measurement (and therefore more accurate) than just saying 1/3 of an inch.

it gets better we use Centigrade for when its cold because it sounds colder (0c rather than 32f)

and Fahrenheit when its hot because it sounds hotter (104f rather than 40c) everyone knows what you mean and no-one questions it I bet a lot of the UK members don't even know they are doing it
